As much as we love making bike puns, double entendres, and being hyperbolic when it comes to bikes, we’ll keep it simple and to the point. Buckle up, the eCargo bike revolution is coming.

There are big challenges ahead of us. Generational challenges on a global scale. Climate change poses a systemic threat to humanity: social, cultural, and economic. We are in an increasingly precarious race to head off permanent changes to the climate that would make our planet unrecognizable and inhospitable to our kids and grandkids. How we rise to the challenge will define our legacy to these future generations. This is not hyperbole.

Fleet Cycles formed as a response to this challenge. Seriously. Over late-night “Zoom” beers and a discussion on how bikes can hold transformative power, we decided to start a bike and mobility company dedicated to designing products that are part of the solution. We’re an unassuming team with decades of experience solving everyday problems by designing innovative products centered around the bike. Here’s a news flash: transportation is the number one offender for the release of harmful emissions. But that’s burying the lede. Bikes are absolutely essential in attacking other huge social challenges around mobility and health. It’s a Venn diagram with bikes and Fleet Cycles at the center.

We will soon be delivering a solution unlike anything you’ve ever seen before (remember, no hyperbole or double entendres.) Our goal is to do things differently, which is easy to say but difficult to do. But we’ll start by offering a cargo bike with no equal. A bike with belt-drive, dual-suspension and an articulating frame. A unique and optimized grouping of industrial-strength automotive, UTV, scooter and bicycle parts that prioritizes the rider AND cargo. But we will also be asking questions of ourselves that we hope will be an example to our competitors. What are the environmental implications of our product lifecycle? How do our manufacturing practices and materials impact our planet? How can we be transparent in our operations in order to lead by example? Truthfully, we don’t know all the answers yet. But we are not afraid to ask the questions, and don’t be afraid to hold us accountable.

In the coming months we’ll bring you along for the ride. We are eager to share the process from concept, design, prototypes and pilots, production, to finally hitting the streets. You’ll have a handlebar seat to a company trying to change the world one bike at a time. For us, it’s personal.
